One of the strongest and best hot chocolate in the city. It is definitely worth the hype and the staff is so kind. However not much seating unless you are okay with outside.

Deliciously perfect hot chocolate. Despite how busy it was, the server was incredibly friendly and seated us quickly. He was especially thoughtful knowing we had a child and made sure we were comfortable. The donut was the best I’ve ever had—exceptionally soft and not overly sweet.

Bar Pisellino is a wonderful spot for a coffee in the neighborhood. It's perfect for locals looking to enjoy a relaxing, quality cup in a cozy setting. Always a great choice for a casual, enjoyable coffee break.

Pisellino is one of those New York classics that never disappoints. I stopped by for aperitivos and it was the perfect pause in the middle of the city. The atmosphere feels effortlessly European — intimate, timeless, and full of character. Soft lighting, beautiful details, and that unmistakable West Village energy. The aperitivos were perfectly executed, ideal for a late afternoon or early evening moment. It’s the kind of place where you sit down “just for one” and end up staying longer than planned. Lively without being loud, polished without feeling stiff. A true NYC staple and an unmissable spot if you appreciate good drinks, great ambiance, and places with soul.

The atmosphere is so beautiful and cozy. The waiter explained us everything and every cocktail! The cocktails were so delicious and well made! We drink four of them with olives which were perfect, and a plate with cheese and salami. We totally going back before leaving New York City!

Amazing cocktails and a true Italian bar experience with a chic European vibe. The outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching, especially on a sunny day. Expect a bit of a wait to get seated—this place is popular for a reason—but it’s well worth it. Every cocktail was beautifully crafted and full of flavor. Whether you’re just stopping by for drinks or settling in for the evening, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve escaped to a stylish corner of Italy.

What a charming Italian bar & cafe! It’s located right across the street from Via Carota in the West Village, and no surprise, it’s owned by the same power couple behind Via Carota. We had just flown into town and found ourselves with an hour to kill before our lunch reservation there, and I’m so glad we wandered over. Yes, it was only 11 a.m., technically “too early” for cocktails but we’re on vacation, and who’s judging? They open at 8 a.m. daily, serving up excellent coffee and pastries, so you can just as easily make this your morning stop. That’s what I love about the concept, it really is an all-day Italian bar/cafe! We grabbed a sidewalk table with perfect front-row seats for people watching, easily the best spot in the house. Our server was friendly and attentive, which added to the whole relaxed neighborhood vibe. I ordered the much-talked-about Sgroppino (thanks to all the rave reviews), and it lived up to the hype. A slushy blend of lemon sorbet, Prosecco, and vodka, it’s bright, refreshing, boozy but still delicate, like a little glass of vacation. My boyfriend went for the Paper Plane, which was just as delicious in its own way. Between the drinks, the vibe, and the West Village charm, Bar Pisellino is a must if you’re in the area. I’d come back any time of day!
